Learning Outcomes

  1. Learn preferences and strengths for teaching and learning of the adult nontraditional learner
  2. Develop competency in analyzing the effectiveness of current classroom teaching techniques, methods, procedures and processes
  3. Learn frameworks for engaging and improving learning outcomes for the nontraditional student

Faculty Should Bring

  • Syllabus: decide on a course they are interested in revising and think about one particular class (activity on Aug 3rd)
  • Flyers or other materials about unique programs, courses or experiences offered on your campus and that are not offered at other campuses within the UMaine System (activity on Aug 1st)

  • Learning Styles Inventory
  • Educator Role Profile
  • Any assigned reading relating to planned sessions
