Summer Academy Of Adult Learning and Teaching

The University of Southern Maine is leading a UMS-wide faculty development academy focused on teaching the adult learner, thanks to a grant from the UMS Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. SAALT provides a professional development experience designed to build a cadre of faculty across the system with the relationships and expertise necessary to develop and implement teaching and learning best practices for the adult non-traditional learner; and to further build a culture of collaboration to address academic needs of UMS students.

It will take place over 3 days, July 30 - August 2, 2018 at the Abromson Center on the USM Campus in Portland, Maine and will host faculty participants from all seven campuses of the University of Maine system.

This website hosts resources for attendees of the academy, including the agenda, travel information, and links to our presenters' profiles. Materials from each presentation will be made available as well.
